The title track from Madonna's 2003 album American Life was released amidst a sea of controversy, only this time it resulted in a complete flop rather than boosting her sales. With military imagery and a strongly anti-war music video that went unreleased due to Bush's announcement of the Iraq invasion, Madonna was plagued with bad press (the video remains unreleased on any of her DVDs due to death threats she received against her children).

The second single taken from Madonna's ill-fated American Life album was the much less controversial "Hollywood." Seen as a safer release, it failed to ignite much critical or commercial success in the wake of the disastrous "American Life" single, and failed to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 (while reaching no. 2 and quickly vanishing in the UK).

The third US single from American Life came out around the time of her Remixed & Revisited EP (aimed at reigniting interest in the album).

Celebration Collectors Edition is exactly what it is, This four-disc edition is not official.
It includes everything from Madonna's back catalog, maybe I've forgotten something but let me know so I can correct it. All songs that are not on the official release is on this ... plus some more:) Disk 5.6 & 7 will feature a collection of remixes, radio edits, etc. ...
